B1 Level German

The B1 Level in German is where you become an independent user of the language. If A1 and A2 focus on learning basic words and phrases, B1 takes you a step further by helping you express your ideas clearly and participate in everyday and work-related conversations. You’ll also learn to write simple texts and understand the main points of longer conversations.

For example:

  • Ich möchte mich für den Kurs anmelden. – I would like to register for the course.
  • Was würdest du tun, wenn du mehr Zeit hättest? – What would you do if you had more time?
  • Können Sie mir erklären, wie ich das Formular ausfüllen soll? – Can you explain how I should fill out the form?

What’s the Difference Between A1, A2, and B1?

- A1 Level: Basic phrases for everyday situations (e.g., introducing yourself, asking for directions).

- A2 Level: Expanded vocabulary for simple conversations and understanding short texts.

- B1 Level: Confident communication, expressing opinions, and handling more complex situations like work or travel.

At B1, you’ll gain the ability to use German more naturally in your daily life. It’s the perfect level for those looking to prepare for higher education, professional opportunities, or living in a German-speaking country.
